A fresh joke every day, right on your home screen. It’s free, there’s no app store, and it takes about five seconds.

iPhone and iPad

  1. 1Open jokesoftheday.com in Safari.
  2. 2Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow).
  3. 3Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. 4Tap Add. The app icon appears on your home screen.

Android (Chrome or Samsung Internet)

  1. 1Tap Install the app above, if you see it.
  2. 2Or tap the menu (⋮ or ☰) in your browser.
  3. 3Choose Install app or Add to Home screen.
  4. 4Tap Install. It’s now in your app drawer.

Windows, Mac or Chromebook (Chrome or Edge)

  1. 1Click Install the app above, if you see it.
  2. 2Or click the install icon at the right of the address bar.
  3. 3Or open the browser menu and choose Install Jokes of the Day.
  4. 4It opens in its own window and appears with your other apps.

Mac (Safari)

Get the joke of the day every morning

Turn on notifications and we’ll send you one joke at 9am, your time. Just one a day, and you can switch it off any time.

Questions

Is it free? Yes, completely free.

Does it take up space? Hardly any. It’s a web app, so there’s nothing big to download, and it updates itself.

Does it work offline? Yes. If you lose signal, it still opens with the last joke of the day it saw.

How do I remove it? The same way as any app: press and hold the icon and choose Remove or Uninstall.
