A guy strolls up to an old cowboy by the corral and boasts, “You see that horse yonder? I bet you fifty bucks I can get him to chuckle.”
The old cowboy scoffs, “No chance, partner. My horse is as sour as a lemon gone bad. But I’ll take your bet!”
So, the guy sidles up to the horse and whispers in its ear.
The horse snickers, then bursts into uncontrollable laughter.
The cowboy’s jaw drops in disbelief.
The guy saunters back and proposes, “Double or nothing if I can make him shed a tear?”
Relieved at a chance to recoup, the cowboy agrees, “My horse is tough as nails. You’ll never get a tear out of him. I’ll take that bet!”
With his back turned to the cowboy, the guy approaches the horse.
After a moment, the horse lets out a sobbing sound, leaps the fence, and bolts off.
The cowboy is dumbfounded.
Reluctantly, he hands over the cash.
“Before you ride off, partner,” the cowboy says, “I gotta know, what in tarnation did you do to my horse?”
The guy grins, “Well, to get him laughing, I told him my, uh, ‘credentials’ were bigger than his.”
“I can see how that’d tickle him,” the cowboy nods, “… But what about the tears?”
The guy zips up his fly and says,
“I just proved it.”
