Unlucky Fred was hitting his thirties and his relationship status hadn’t changed from single.
Every time he introduced a potential Mrs. Right to his folks, his mom found some flaw.
One day a buddy inquired, “What’s the deal, Fred? Can’t you find a charming lady who’ll make a good spouse?”
Fred confessed, “I’ve met quite a few women I’d love to settle down with. But my mom always gives them the thumbs down.”
After pondering for a bit, his friend offered, “Here’s what you do: snag a gal who’s a carbon copy of your mom!”
Some time later, they caught up, and his friend eagerly asked, “So, did you find your match? Did she hit it off with your mom?”
Fred’s face was clouded with gloom as he said, “Yep, I found someone just like mom.”
“Mom adored her, alright.”
His pal beamed, “Then why the long face?”
Fred muttered, “Now my dad can’t stand her.”
